About Robert Strong
Architect, Inventor & Universalist
Robert Strong (b.1954, Indiana, Pa.), is a distinguished NYC architect committed to excellence in design and professional leadership.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Architectural History from Penn State and a Bachelor of Architecture from the renowned Cooper Union in May 1979.
Following his education Robert furthered his professional credentials becoming a registered architect in New York State in 1983, then in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California. As an active member of the architectural community Robert has been a member of the Salmagundi Art Club since 1981 where he is well known for his passion for both architecture and the arts.


In 2020 he became a member of the Union League Club, further expanding his influence within the design and cultural community. As a dedicated and well-respected professional Robert earned his NCARB certification in 1984 and his membership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) followed in 1985. His commitment to architectural practice and education led him to serve on the Board of the New York Society of Architects in 2004 then as the President and director of Legislative impact at the New York Council of Architects.
In 2023 Robert was honored as a Fellow of the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA), a testament to his exceptional contributions to the field. Robert Strong’s decades long career reflects a deep dedication to architectural integrity, creativity, and professional engagement, making him a leading figure in both the design and architectural community.
He began his research into life energy interactions with the built environment during his thesis project at the Cooper Union in 1979 and created Human Environment Research Structures. The study of Wilhelm Reich’s work and the history of geometry and topology, infused with the practice of Architecture, has resulted in the Universalist Architect Manifesto.
